Greater Brandon
Serving the Children of the World
  Welcome

Kiwanis International is a global organization of members dedicated to serving the children of the world and developing youth leaders.  Kiwanis and its family of clubs - nearly 600,000 members strong - annually raise more than $107 million and dedicate more than 18 million volunteer hours to strengthen communities and serve children.  Members of every age attend regular meetings, experience fellowship, raise funds for various causes and participate in service projects that help their communities.  Members also make an impact throughout the world by participating in Kiwanis International's new global campaign for children, The Eliminate Project:  Kiwanis eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon, Florida was established in May 1960, and continues today to serve the Greater Brandon community, especially its children.  Our main platform is the Terrific Kids leadership and character recognition program.  We also perform other services for the community:
  • Key Club at Brandon High School
  • K-Kids Clubs at Nelson & FishHawk Creek Elementary Schools
  • "Stuff the Bus" school supplies collection
  • Teacher Appreciation program in 3 Middle Schools
  • Kiwanis One Day at Joshua House
  • Financially support the Kiwanis Therapy Center at Joshua House
  • Ring bell for Salvation Army Red Kettle collection at Christmas
  • Christmas party for Mango Elementary School Head Start classes
  • Partner with Goodwill Suncoast Bookworks to read and give books to 5 Head Start classes
  • Participate in Brandon ECHO food drives
  • Participate in Brandon 4th of July Parade

"Good People with Great Hearts Doing Little Things with Much Love."
